This document describes how Epik Inc. and its affiliates (collectively “Epik Inc.”, “Epik”, “We”, “Us” and “Our(s)”) may allow for a full or partial refund, whereas some do not qualify for a refund at all. Please see each area that applies to Our refund policy listed below. Each Customer is responsible for knowing the following information.
Refund Currency: all refunds will be processed in U.S. dollars. It is Your responsibility for any fluctuations in the exchange rate(s) between when payment is made and when a refund is provided.
Refund Period: this period indicates the timeframe in which You, as the Customer, must request a refund in writing from Our Customer Support department, including Your PIN. Please check each area to confirm whether a refund can be requested and handled.
Refund Requests: if You believe You are eligible for a refund, submit a ticket to Our Customer Support team at email@example.com or call Us at +1 (737) 301-5923. You must include the following information in Your request:
an acknowledgment that You have read and fully understand Our refund policy, found here;
the reason You are requesting a refund; and
transaction information (e.g., account username, support PIN (required), domain name, date of purchase, and amount).
Once submitted, We will review Your request and may require that You provide additional information. You understand and acknowledge that You must respond promptly to the requested information. Failure to provide the information We need to evaluate Your request may result in the delay or closure of Your request. Therefore, please check Your inbox so We can provide the best support possible.
Suspended or Terminated Services: no refund will be made if the service has been suspended or terminated for violations of Epik’s General Terms of Service Agreement, Acceptable Use & User Content Policy, or any portion of the preceding.
Trademarked Infringement: this includes domains that are the subject of and/or involved in a trademark infringement allegation and/or proceeding.
Transaction Date: the transaction date for any service or product purchased is deemed day number 1 and inclusive within any prescribed period.
Payment Due at Time of Order; Non-Refundable: You agree to pay all amounts due for Services when you order them. Unless otherwise stated herein, all purchase are final and non-refundable after 90 days.
Price Changes: If You have purchased or obtained Services for months or years, changes in prices and fees will be effective when the Services in question come up for renewal, as further described below. Epik reserves the right to change its costs and fees at any time, and such changes shall be posted online at this Site and effective immediately without the need for further notice to You.
Payment Types: Except as prohibited in any product-specific agreement, You may pay for Services by using a valid credit card. Your payment method on file must be kept valid if You have any active Services in Your account. Confirmation of orders will be sent to the email address on file for Your account.
Epik In-Store Credit (“ISC”):
If Your account contains any surplus balance of credits redeemable by You for qualifying Services (“In-Store Credit”), then: (1) You may apply any available credit balance to any future purchase in Your account; and (2) You authorize Epik to apply any available ISC to any outstanding administrative fees, chargebacks, or other fees related to Your Account. Regardless of the amount of ISC available in Your account, Epik is not responsible for the loss of products, including, without limitation ordered domain names, resulting from an inability to collect funds from Your payment methods or ISC balance.
You can verify Your available ISC balance at any time through Your account on the Epik website. You acknowledge that ISC balances are non-refundable and may only be used within the account in which they were acquired. If, for any reason, Your account is terminated, You acknowledge and agree that any remaining available ISC balance will be forfeited.
You also acknowledge that Epik will hold funds available in Your ISC balance and will not accrue or pay interest for Your benefit.
Lawyer Trust Account Balance (LTAB):
The proceeds from domain sales in your Lawyer Trust Account Balance (LTAB) are entirely your funds. Once a transaction is finalized, your LTAB balance, minus all applicable fees, is refundable and can be withdrawn at any time. You have three options for withdrawing LTAB funds: bank transfer, wire, or a mailed check.
Auto-Renewal & Auto-Pay:
IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT YOU DO NOT EXPERIENCE AN INTERRUPTION OR LOSS OF SERVICES, ALL SERVICES ARE SET TO AUTOMATIC RENEWAL. THE AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OPTION WILL ATTEMPT TO AUTOMATICALLY RENEW THE APPLICABLE SERVICE FOR A RENEWAL PERIOD EQUAL IN TIME TO THE MOST RECENT SERVICE PERIOD, EXCEPT FOR DOMAIN NAMES WHICH WILL RENEW FOR THE ORIGINAL SERVICE PERIOD. FOR EXAMPLE, FOR PRODUCTS OTHER THAN DOMAINS, IF YOUR LAST SERVICE PERIOD IS FOR ONE YEAR, YOUR RENEWAL PERIOD WILL BE FOR ONE (1) YEAR. WITH THE AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OPTION, EPIK WILL ATTEMPT TO RENEW THE APPLICABLE SERVICE WHEN IT COMES UP FOR RENEWAL AND WILL TAKE PAYMENT FROM THE PAYMENT METHOD YOU HAVE ON FILE WITH US AT EPIK’S THEN CURRENT RATES, WHICH YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN THE RATES FOR THE ORIGINAL SERVICE PERIOD. PLEASE NOTE THAT RENEWAL DATES VARY BY SERVICE. FOR INSTANCE, SOME SERVICES MAY RENEW THIRTY (30) DAYS PRIOR TO EXPIRATION, AND OTHERS MAY RENEW FIVE (5) DAYS PRIOR TO EXPIRATION. YOU MAY ENABLE OR DISABLE THE AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OPTION ON DOMAIN NAMES AT ANY TIME. HOWEVER, SHOULD YOU ELECT TO DISABLE THE AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OPTION AND FAIL TO RENEW YOUR SERVICES BEFORE THEY EXPIRE MANUALLY, OR IF YOUR PAYMENT METHOD CHOSEN FOR YOUR AUTOMATIC RENEWAL SHOULD FAIL, YOU MAY EXPERIENCE AN INTERRUPTION OR LOSS OF SERVICES, AND EPIK WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY REGARDING THE SAME. EPIK RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE WHETHER A SECOND PAYMENT ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE SHOULD THE CHOSEN PAYMENT METHOD FAIL.
IN ADDITION, EPIK MAY PARTICIPATE IN “RECURRING BILLING PROGRAMS” OR “ACCOUNT UPDATER SERVICES” SUPPORTED BY YOUR THIRD-PARTY BILLING PROVIDER. IF YOU ARE ENROLLED IN AN AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OPTION, AND WE ARE UNABLE TO CHARGE YOUR EXISTING PAYMENT METHOD SUCCESSFULLY, YOUR CREDIT CARD PROVIDER (OR YOUR BANK) MAY NOTIFY US OF UPDATES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND/OR EXPIRATION DATE, OR THEY MAY AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE YOUR NEW CREDIT CARD ON OUR BEHALF WITHOUT NOTIFICATION TO US. IN ACCORDANCE WITH RECURRING BILLING PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS, IF WE ARE NOTIFIED OF AN UPDATE TO YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND/OR EXPIRATION DATE, EPIK WILL AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE YOUR PAYMENT PROFILE ON YOUR BEHALF. EPIK MAKES NO GUARANTEE THAT WE WILL REQUEST OR RECEIVE UPDATED CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT IT IS YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO MODIFY AND MAINTAIN YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO (I) SETTING YOUR RENEWAL OPTIONS AND (II) ENSURING YOUR ASSOCIATED PAYMENT METHOD(S) ARE CURRENT AND VALID. FURTHER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOUR FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN THE INTERRUPTION OR LOSS OF SERVICES, AND EPIK WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY REGARDING THE SAME.
If, for any reason, Epik is unable to charge Your payment method for the total amount owed for the Services provided, or if We receive notification of a chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute, or are charged a penalty for any fee previously charged to Your payment method, then You agree that Epik may pursue all available lawful remedies to obtain payment, including but not limited to, immediate cancellation, without notice to You, of any domain names or Services registered or renewed on Your behalf. You also agree that all rights to and interest in and use of any Services, content, and/or products purchased through Us, including all data hosted on Our systems, shall be assumed by Us in satisfaction of any indebtedness by You to Us.
Epik also reserves the right to charge You reasonable “administrative fees” or “processing fees” for (i) tasks Epik may perform outside the normal scope of its Services, (ii) additional time and/or costs We may incur in providing its Services, and/or (iii) Your noncompliance with this Agreement (as determined by Epik in its sole and absolute discretion). Typical administrative or processing fee scenarios include, but are not limited to, (i) Customer service issues that require additional personal time or attention; (ii) investigation into the use of Epik services where it is alleged and verified by Epik that Your use of such services was abusive; (iii) Account maintenance where Your Account has been inactive for six (6) months or more; (iv) UDRP action(s) in connection with Your domain name(s) and/or disputes that require accounting or legal services, whether performed by Epik staff or by outside firms retained by Epik; and (v) recouping any and all costs and fees, including the cost of Services, incurred by Epik as the results of chargebacks or other payment disputes brought by You, Your bank or payment method processor. These administrative or processing fees will be billed to the payment method You have on file with Epik.
Abuse: No refunds for domain names engaged in abusive behavior that violates Epik’s General Terms of Service Agreements and/or Acceptable Use & User Content Policy.
Services and Products:
Manual Backorder Cancellation – a Customer may log into their Account within the first 30 days from the transaction date, cancel a backorder, and receive a 100% refund to ISC. Any manual cancellation after 30 days from the purchase date will be non-refundable.
Missed Backorder – if the system cannot deliver the domain name, the backorder will be canceled automatically, and a full refund will automatically be sent to Your In-Store Credit. These funds are non-refundable.
If Epik incurs a fraud chargeback, this will result in Your Account being closed.
Domain Name Registrations
gTLDs (Generic Top-Level Domains) – may be canceled within five (5) days of the transaction date. Day 1 starts on the transaction date. A cancellation request must be submitted via email to Customer Support, and a fifty-cents (USD $0.50) fee will be deducted from the refunded monies. This refund option is only applied to the first year of registration. If You register a domain for more than one (1) year, then such fees will be non-refundable.
Misspelled domain names: The refund policy stated above applies. Epik reserves the right to suspend or terminate the 5-day refund in cases of repetitive or serial misspellings.
Domain Tasting – Epik does not support domain tasting. If We find that You are registering domains to engage in this behavior, We reserve the right not to issue a refund and potentially ban Your account.
ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) – ccTLD domain registrations are non-refundable.
Domains registered under a promotional offer are non-refundable.
Trustee fees are refundable only if the domain name registration is unsuccessful. The refund will be placed in Your ISC. If You wish to have the fee refunded to Your original payment method, please note there is a 3.5% fee withheld, and We can only refund to the original payment method (credit card only). The following trustee fees apply:
com.br – $2.00
.de – $5.36
.eu – $6.54
.net.br – $2.00
If the domain was registered successfully, then the fee is non-refundable.
Failed Domain Registrations Due to Non-Compliance with Registry Requirements
Some Registries require the Registrant to meet specific requirements before the registration can be fully processed. If You, as the Registrant, fail to meet the requirements and the domain name cannot be registered, the failed registration will be canceled, and You will be refunded in full to Your ISC.
Domain Name Renewals
Manual Domain Name Renewal – Manual domain name renewals are non-refundable at any time. All renewals are final.
Auto Domain Name Renewal – auto-renewals for domain names are non-refundable at any time. All renewals are final.
Domain Name Transfers
Domain Name Transfers can be canceled anytime by logging into Your account, and a full refund will be deposited into Your ISC. Canceled transfers are non-refundable to the original payment method.
Domains redeemed after the grace renewal period of 30 days will be deemed final. No refunds will be given for these transactions.
Email and Web Hosting
Email and Web Hosting services can be canceled anytime within the first 30 days from the transaction date. If the Hosting Plan was not used in any way, the Customer would receive a full refund to their In-Store Credit. If the Customer has used the service in any way, it becomes non-refundable.
Managed WordPress Hosting
Managed WordPress Hosting services can be canceled within 30 days from the transaction date. If the WordPress Hosting Plan was not used in any way, the Customer would receive a full refund to their In-Store Credit. If the Customer has used the service in any way, it becomes non-refundable.
Site Builder Packages
Site Builder services can be canceled anytime within 30 days from the transaction date. If the Site Builder plan was not used in any way, the Customer would receive a full refund to their In-Store Credit. If the Customer has used the service in any way, it becomes non-refundable.
SSL Certificates can be canceled anytime within the first 15 days from the transaction date. A full refund will be deposited into Your In-Store Credit only.
Epik makes every attempt to carry out its work flawlessly, employing both human and machine processes. Such attempts notwithstanding, it cannot be ruled out that errors may occasionally occur, despite all efforts to avoid them. In the case of errors by Us, You agree that Your sole remedy shall be a full refund of fees paid by You to Epik for the specific, individual transaction during the execution or processing of such an error. You agree to forever forebear from any, and all attempts to recover any money, property, or intangible rights or value from Us as a result of any errors We may make other than the full refund of fees paid by You to Epik for the specific, individual transaction during the execution or processing of which such an error occurred.
